You have a business conflict which you anticipate you will not be able to resolve immediately by your own efforts. Taking legal action costs a lot of money, time and uncertainty during the proceedings period. An alternative is 'mediation'. In practice it is found that the success rate of business mediation in a far-reaching business conflict is so great that going to court can often be avoided.
From an independent and objective position and with an eye, ear and feeling for all the business and personal interests and ambitions, as a business mediator we 'steer' the parties involved to a win-win result. We are seeing that business mediation is increasingly often used as a management tool for preventing conflict escalation.
The condition for successful mediation is that the process is based on voluntary participation - but not without obligations! - and that all the parties are prepared to make an effort to reach a solution, from a position of confidentiality. However wonderful that may sound, we regularly see that through mediation all the parties 'profit' from their conflict.
We are also regularly appointed as an expert by the courts of Haarlem, Amsterdam and Utrecht. From these many years of experience we all too often see how things should not go and we know that matters and agreements must be laid down in a clear and transparent way from the outset. We are also registered as an arbitrator with the Netherlands Arbitration Institute.
